12 team H2H, 4 Keepers allowed
Categories: R, Ave, SB, HR, RBI, W, SV, ERA, WHIP, K's

My Team: C - Weites; 1B - Rizzo, Goldy; 2B - Cano; SS - Tulo, Rutledge; 3B - Donaldson; OF:- Trout, Puig, Gardner
SP: Moore, Garza, Lynn, Turner (Jacob), Cashner, Johnson (Josh) Cahill, Holland, Sanchez

The Offer
I GET: Wainwright, Freeman (Freddie), Desmond
HE GETS: Goldy, Cahill and Rutledge

I could use an ace and Desmond would be a nice replacement til Tulo gets healthy. I kept Goldy this year at $5 and he will cost $10 next. Obviously, that is a blow as having him for $10 and Trout for $11 next year is a nice cornerstone to have. Freeman went for $20, Wainwright for $27 and Desmond for $7 in this years draft so I'm likely not getting a keeper back.

Is it worth it? Thanks!

No, keep Goldy. Playing Desmond for 4 weeks isn't close to losing Goldy for the next 4 years.

Desmond is keepable at that price FYI. he's a 20/20 OF come on he'd go for up to 20ish in a true auction.

I think though that you are taking too much a hit here. Desmond really serves no purpose. Since you have limited roster room maybe consider going after a cheap Prado he won't cost you much...Try trading him Rizzo, Rutledge, and Lynn for Wainwright and Desmond that honestly is very fair. If he wants a 1b. Rutledge and a quality arm for Desmond (fair value) solid young 1b (Rizzo) for Wainwright is pretty standard. He might ask for a little more but he's kinda selling a little high on Waino.

Desmond for $12 next year wont be terrible. I have tried to offer him a package around Rizzo (who can be kept next year for $10) but he hasn't bite. I may wait til the deadline gets closer and hopefully Rizzo heats up, then I can trade him to a non-contender for a pitcher to help out my roster.

Yea Ian Desmond. Bottom line, we can only keep 4 players and a team around Goldy (for $10), Trout (for $11), and Puig (for $20 FA bid) is probably too much to pass on. I just have to hope against hope Rizzo gets some power going here soon and his value goes up.
