Too bad about the rain delay though. Dude was cruising with 72 pitches through 6 IP. Could easily have finished with a CG SO if not for that. Can't complain though. Probably a good thing that he had a nice easy outing--should help preserve his arm over the remainder of the season and perhaps extend the deadline of his likely shutdown date.

And yes, he is a wizard, to answer your question. Between him and now Puig, my man crushes have reached epic proportions. Their respective box scores/highlights make it move on a regular basis.

Ya I'm okay with it because of what happened in his last start. He got rocky late. I'm happy with what I got.

Very true. No use getting greedy. Seems every time I hope one of my SP's gets to go one more inning, they end up giving up a couple of runs and turning a great start into a very good start--Harvey's last start, as you mentioned, being the perfect case in point.

Oh, forgot to mention Chris Davis... The wood is strong with him. Speaking of Davis, just how good can he be?

So what's the book on Nathan Eovaldi? Very strong start at Arizona in his first start and right now in cruise control against the Giants...

Mat Latos YTD thru 103 innings: 3.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 100 strikeouts. Having a "quiet" year but putting up great numbers. Had a rough May but is back on track now. Should get a W today as well.

Bad day for closers.

Street, Balfour, Chapman, Grilli, Frieri. And we still have a game left. :-b
