thoughts on these 2 starters.
Chad Gaudin at home to Miami? has been good lately, especially at home. plus it's the Marlins.
Jose Alvarez at home to Boston? his last start he took a no hitter into the 5th. finished with 3 hits and 1 run.

Fife is not why they are going to lose. They going to lose because they are facing the Padres. ;-)

Could a full time spot be opening for Wheeler?

Jon Niese is coming out of the game with an apparent injury.

Update: Jon Niese left tonight's game in the fourth inning with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Niese has dealt with shoulder tendonitis this season.

Wheeler already has a full time spot. He was only sent down until his next start because he was the 26th man for the double header.

am i the only one shocked it took them 3 years to figure this out?
Atlanta Braves 2B Dan Uggla is enduring some problems with his vision. He's having his eyes examined by a doctor Thursday, June 20, per assistant hitting coach Scott Fletcher, who left open the possibility of Uggla eventually having Lasik surgery. "There's certain balls and stuff he said he wasn't seeing well," Fletcher said. "At times he's flinching on balls that are good pitches and it's like, 'Why am I not seeing that ball better?' So we'll see how it goes with that."
