Trading Myers for Frieri

Postby trumptight » Mon Jun 17, 2013 8:14 pm

It is a head to head league. With Jansen and Bailey I finally started collecting saves. I feel like Frieri will help me win that category every week. my offense is dominating, im in first overall. i like selling the hype on a rookie, what do you think of trading wil myers for frieri?

I think you could use Myers' power in your OF...I would shop De Aza for a bargain closer.

well, with 18 views and 1 reply, i get the feeling that people dont really know what to think of it yet. so let this trade be the benchmark on here for all future myers trades. im selling the hype, i get him for two days, a double header today. i guess we shall just see.

I'd wait it out for before dealing him. He just got called up and if he gets off to a hot start you can sell him very high, like Puig owners have been doing. Even if he doesn't get off to a hot start, I still think he has decent value because he's a top prospect and there's hype around him. I think at worst, his value is Frieri, but if he produces you can get so much more than that.

Even in a redraft I'd hold Myers or at least go for someone more stable the Frieri. As an Angels fan I can tell you this guy is just not that good. If Madson ever gets healthy (huge if at this point), Frieri will likely go to the set up role. Even if Madson can't get on the mound this year, the Angels still might be able to find a more trustworthy arm for the 9th inning.
