Cole and Santiago and I don't think it's close.

Thanks, it's just that with Lincecum having a great start vs ATL last time and Cole having only 2 strikeouts I wasn't so sure.

Really?

.507

They just swept the top team in the East, and the top team in the West. and they did it without their starting 1B, 2B and centerfielder ...
i told you, they always start out slow ...

Watch out October ..

We do a blind auction for FA's on Sunday's. I just paid $8 for Rutledge and $15 for K Jenson (we have to pay the actual $ amount to the pot at end of season for all free agents we pick up). Did I overpay?

no those aren't horrible at all, especially if you have a need.

all this love for Puig and Brown, but how about some love for Kyle Blanks!

last 14 days.
Puig - 23/48 7 4 10 1 .479
Brown - 15/51 8 4 12 4 .294
Blanks - 15/49 12 5 12 0 .306

last 7 days.
Puig - 13/25 3 0 0 1 .520
Brown - 3/25 1 0 1 2 .120
Blanks - 5/25 6 2 5 0 .200

and that doesn't include today where Blanks had another HR with 3 RBI.

EDIT: the Padres best hitter lately has been Blanks. but if Alonso had not gotten hurt and went on the DL, Blanks would have went to the minors when Maybin was first activated from the DL.
