Wow, great post!! All the 'whoo hoo, xxxx went 2 for 5 today' posts don't have a lot of info for such a short sample. Not that I haven't been doing a bit of it or anything like that. Personally, it's the Dmitri Young thing. I had pretty fair hopes to get a lot out of him. The quick and super start for the Tigers helped fan my flames flames.
Jimy Williams is odd but my H2H opponent was pitching Oswalt so I can't complain too much. Ensberg's arm hurt and that was out there.
Seeing the Cubbies flailing uselessly tonight (I called Sosa's whiff, BTW...) went a LONG way towards reminding me that it's a long season.
One additional bummer is that THERE'S NO LATE GAME ON on basic cable in Champaign tonight!!! <img

Stupid posts like people asking what is wrong with player X and should I drop him? If you have that little confidence in your player to begin with, then yes drop his ass. In fact, pick up another player and drop him too, as a warning to the rest of the free agents.
Also, posts celebrating established closers getting a save. I don't really care if F Cordero got a save today. Yeah I own him, but I'm not creaming my pants over a save. He will get about 35-40 more hopefully. That is why I drafted him, to get saves. That's about all he is going to contribute, it's not like he did anything special. Alert me when Ryan Wagner gets a save (and possibly the job), not when Gagne gets a damn save.
As for the MLB season, no gripes yet. I'm just enjoying having games on again.
