But even with that he'd still have one of the league's highest HR potential.

And RBI/Runs in that lineup. Even if he hits just .250, a 40 HR, 125 RBI, 90 Runs guy isn't going to come around often these days. In fact, only M-Cab and Stanton come to mind as guys that can get these numbers, at this point.

what would the expectations be for Chris Davis in 2014 plus? even if he can't maintain THIS type of production, over a full season are we thinking he can still be 40+ HR player? or do people think he drops off to what he was doing last year, 30-35 HR/.270 AVG?

I'm in a keeper league, and debating whether to trade David Price for Davis.

I would take Chris Davis all day.
There only a handful of hitters in all of baseball that you can realistically project for 35+/100 and Davis is one of them. If he keeps the average up thats just a bonus.
And if hes cheaper to keep than Price then its an even easier decision.

I assume you meant prince. No way Davis is cheaper than prince next year. Davis will go 4 or 5 in most leagues, I would think.

actually meant David Price. :-? 2012 AL Cy Young winner and a dominating starting pitcher.
this Chris Davis has been elite, but there is still the risk that he can't repeat THIS season again, and is more so what he was last season.

I was able to trade Davis for Harper and a 1st round pick in keeper. If I owned Davis in any other leagues I'd be looking to sell rather than buy. But I do think he has more value than price. Next year when his adp is top 10 you could probably flip him for a better pitcher.
