Ok guys, I am stumped here. Last year he was obviously brutal. This year, he got a new haircut and added a few mph back to his fastball. I was watching him face the Phillies and a few other games this year, and his stuff is still moving. His change up is still nasty, and he's only about 1-2 mph slower on his heater than in his prime. Hitting his spots is obviously the concern with him. Does anyone have a guess on how the season will pan out for him. I have been getting frustrated as he has shown about 3 games this year of his old true self.
Last night he walked 3 and intentionally walked another. He threw 101 pitches and only about half of them were strikes. I am getting frustrated, but I find it very difficult to bench the "Freaky Franchise". Any thoughts on if he will get it together? He has been inconsistent for too long now, despite looking good as a reliever at the end of '12.
