Runnin' on about tres horas of sleep... X-I

.: Noticias de Béisbol :.
MATTHEW. EDWARD. HARVEY. MATEO. EDUARDO. HARVELLO. Marian-who? Highlight of the Mets season might be Harvey mowing down 10 Yankees last night, looking not like the hero we deserve, but the absolute hero we need, and not being saddled with a Loss in the process, which looked likely after he gave up a single Run. The Mets made the strategic move of the century by having Mariano Rivera throw out the first pitch of the game, tiring his aged arm out, so he could blow his first Save of the season. I was so elated that I almost forgot I have people strewn all over my house sleeping; and by sleeping I mean being loud and running up my light bill (I just had an ayebatter "get off my lawn!" moment, didn't I?).

For the record, I made this image on August 22, 2012... Off the tracks when the train's comin' through.

Here's the quote that went with it...

Next stop, All-Star Game Starter at Citi Field, NL Cy Young Award, Hall of Fame.

Jered Weaver returns today. Cliff Lee was masterful against the Red Sox after the 2nd batter of the game. Gausman is who we thought he was, but they didn't let him off the hook. Adam Laroche is red hot. Hyun-Jin Ryu Hadouken'd the Angels in a Complete Game Shutout. Jarrod Parker has now thrown 4 Quality Starts in a row.

The Week 9 Cafe Podcast discusses how truly horrific Ike Davis is, the prospect of K-Rod closing games in Milwaukee, and some young SPs who were at least all at one point, highly sought after. Also, is Chris, not Ike, Davis, a legitimate AL MVP contender? Listen to the Pod, you hoser. Whatever you're on right now is probably NSFW.

Talk about Fozzy Michael Wacha Wacha Wacha here. There's some polarizing opinions on what to expect from the young buck.

Does anyone know why the Rangers and Diamondbacks played a double header monday, had a day off yesterday, and play again today? That seems a bit odd instead of just playing one game each day.

4 of my 5 keepers in my 20 team league are now on the DL:

Giancarlo Stanton
Ian Kinsler
Brett Lawrie
Curtis Granderson

I'm just hoping to survive June at this point.

Starting Lincecum against Oakland with every intention that when he sucks tonight, it'll be the last straw and I'll drop him tomorrow.

the Rays suspended prospect OF Josh Sale for conduct detrimental to the organization.
I read he bragged on his facebook about throwing money at a stripper. my first reaction was, no big deal. seems he was just having fun.
The Rays have suspended prospect outfielder Josh Sale for conduct detrimental to the organization.
The suspension comes on the heels of Sale bragging on his Facebook account about throwing money at a stripper. Selected 17th overall in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Sale was suspended 50 games last August for methamphetamine and an amphetamine and has yet to play a game this season. The Rays will have to hope that he is ready to grow up.

so I figured I would read more. it was more than throwing "money".

The Tampa Bay Rays' minor league prospect showed the world how much of a winner he is by boasting on Facebook about humiliating a stripper for cheap laughs.

"Threw 50 cents at a stripper tonight. First time. Got kicked out and she got so pissed thought she was gonna cry," Sale proudly wrote on his public Facebook page, via Deadspin.

Then came the eloquent parting shot, courtesy of a 21-year-old who's clearly wise beyond his years.

"Your a stripper. Be thankful. Hoe."

Sale's pathetic Facebook post comes less than a year after the Class-A Bowling Green outfielder received a 50-game suspension for methamphetamine and amphetamines. The prospect from Seattle was the 17th overall pick of the Rays in the 2010 Amateur Draft.

I'm not starting Milone against SF because although SF's offense isn't the greatest, if they suck a few games, they usually have a blow out soon after... I may just be being skeptical

I don't think I'm starting Milone, maybe mostly because it's at San Francisco. he is really good at home, not so much on the road. my plan for using Milone this season was just home starts, and maybe matchups on the road.
