Has anyone ever had a problem buying from Newegg? I've bought all kinds of stuff from them over the years and have been nothing short of thrilled because of their great selection, low prices and FAST shipping. However, my very latest experience with them has me enraged.
Last week on the 14th I bought an unlocked smartphone from Newegg. I received the phone on the 16th only to find out that I was sent an international version. The box and phone were in English, however, none of the user manuals were in English and it only came with a European charger. The next day, the 17th, I contacted Newegg over the phone and started the return for a replacement process. I was emailed a prepaid UPS shipping label, RMA label and RMA slip. I was sent another email asking me to reply to it after dropping my return package off at UPS and once Newegg could confirm that I dropped off my return package at UPS, they would "send out a replacement as soon as possible."
Fast forward to today, the 24th, after making 6-8 calls to customer service over the past couple of days, I still do not have a replacement. I was told yesterday that a replacement would be overnighted to me so that I would receive it today, that did not happen. I spent another 30 minutes on the phone with them today and was told that a replacement should be shipped next Tuesday due to it being Friday and a long holiday weekend.
In the end, I will have waited about two weeks for my phone, after THEY screwed up, when my original phone shipped to me in TWO DAYS! Has anyone else ever had a problem with Newegg?
