Is it really too much to ask to have 2 of Gallardo, Hamels, Price, Verlander and Dickey to have a good start in the same week. I actually invested more in pitching than I normally do this year and the only team with semi decent pitching is the one I didn't spend double digits on anyone.

Josh Rutledge is out of the lineup for the second game in a row.... No notes or anything, is it just because of his low AVG?

Delmon Young with his 2nd HR in 2 days.
he's been brutal this year so far.
fangraphs has him at 8.9 LD%.

can Delmon get hot?
I'm thinking about adding him in a 16 team league. I'm looking at guys like Young, Travis Snider, Jimmy Paredes, JD Martinez. deep league not much on waivers. Young was just dropped a few days ago.

BREAKING NEWS!
the Rockies will send Josh Rutledge to AAA. DJ LeMahieu will be the new starter at 2B.

EDIT: rotoworld.
The Rockies will option Josh Rutledge to Triple-A Colorado Springs prior to Friday's game.
Manager Walt Weiss indicated recently that he was going to stick with Rutledge through his slump, but evidently he had a change of heart. The second baseman sports just a .242/.298/.357 batting line for the season and is hitting only .206/.250/.294 over his last 11 games. The Rox appeared poised to go with D.J. LeMahieu at second base for now.

EDIT2: rotoworld on LeMahieu.
D.J. LeMahieu is expected to take over as the Rockies' starting second baseman following the demotion of Josh Rutledge.
Rutledge's recent slump and LeMahieu's .412/.444/.529 batting line early on, along with his solid defense, has convinced the Rockies to make a change. LeMahieu is a .294 career hitter over 125 games, but he offers next to nothing in the power and speed departments, making him worthy of picking up only in NL-only formats

next to nothing in power, yes. next to nothing in speed, no.
this season in AAA he had 8 SB and 2 CS.
last season in AAA he had 13 SB and 6 CS.

the Tigers/Indians game is in a rain delay. the game has not yet gone 5 innings. get this, by rule if this game has to be rained out, the entire game would start over and the statistics from this game so far would be wiped out.

Buehrle (from my bench of course) outpitched Harvey. the end of the world might be coming.

I despise Delmon. He might have some value in a deep league because he is a living, breathing baseball player that is getting AB's but he doesn't actually do anything well. Aside from humorous defensive plays.

Looks like Hammel was sitting around 92-94 today. Is that harder than he's been so far this year? As a frustrated Hammel owner, I'd love to see him get anywhere close to where he was last year.

Verlander is going back to the mound after the rain delay. I hope he gets hit around some more. :-D
