Dodgers prospect outfielder Yasiel Puig is playing center field with with Double-A Chattanooga for the second straight game Friday.

When Puig started there Thursday, many thought it was because the Dodgers were planning to call up Joc Pederson. However, Pederson is in left field on Friday, so it appears that the Dodgers could be evaluating Puig for a possible call-up. He might be worth a speculative add in deeper fantasy leagues.

Looks like Puig might get the call to replace Kemp. Probably be cause he's already on their 40-man roster and Peterson isn't.

I'd bet it's gonna be one of Elian Herrera also on the 40 man roster or Tony Gwynn jr.

Your lack of irrational excitement is utterly boring.

I picked up Puig as a speculative pickup in my 12 team redraft league. The Dodgers were considering calling him & Joc Pederson up before Kemp's injury because of the lack of offense. With Kemp hamstring injury now, combined with Ethier on the trade market (i expect him gone by the trade deadline we'll see)- i figure now there's basically two openings in the LA outfield.

The Dodgers are in last place after spending all that money- maybe they'll want to see how their youngsters do as well as create some buzz for the fans- just my opinion though. Not sure how much spring training matter,s but he was tearing it up and was making a case to make the team back in March.

Follow up- Carl Crawford hurt his hamstring in today's game- that's a pity. It looks like our plan to pickup free agent OF Yasiel Puig and hire a witch doctor to put needles in the voo doo dolls of Matt Kemp & Carl Crawford is working perfectly Number 2. Soon Yasiel Puig will be called up and lead us to a championship unless our opponents pay us a tidy some of............ One Trillion Dollars muahhhh!!! muahh!!!!!!!!! muahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are most of us rushing to add him out of speculation due to Crawford's injury, or rather better to wait for an offical call-up?

He's not even available in any of my leagues. As long as you're not dropping a piece that you use on a semi-regular basis I would add him for now.

I think the Dodgers have 7 home games this week coming in from Colorado. Perhaps a good time to debut Puig Boy?

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports that "it would be an upset" if Yasiel Puig isn't called up by the Dodgers on Monday.
