Starlin Castro for Austin Jackson? WHIR Guaranteed

12 team keeper league 5x5

Currently have Castro at SS and when Hanley Ramirez comes off the DL, I'll have an extra. Originally offered HanRam & Aoki for Jackson & Rizzo but he countered with Castro for Jackson.

Jackson looks to be a lock for 100+ runs for the foreseeable future, but is he a .300 hitter or a .250 hitter? Is he going to put up 25 SB or was last year an indication that he's not going to run much anymore?

I realize SS is much shallower than OF - - am I getting enough in return for Castro or should I be targeting a power hitter instead of an OBP guy like Jackson?

Still nothing firm on Jackson for his return, but it sounded like he only needed the 15 days. He's a solid player and Castro could be off to a better start, but I wouldn't do it. Hanley already aggravated his injury once, he could rush back too soon again. Stick with Castro.

Not sure if I would do it right NOW unless if you have SS options. I see you have Profar but who knows how long he will be up for. If there is a viable SS on FA then I would pull the trigger. Your team lacks Runs and Austin Jackson will def lead the league in Runs and I def think 20-25 SB will happen. I don't see .300 avg closer to .280 so not sure if that helps in your decision making. He's closer to .300 hitter than .250. However if you can wait a few more weeks to check the prognosis on Hanley say if he's on a rehab assignment and closer to playing then move Castro.

Not a bad trade...but not one you need to make.
