Pat Burrell and Ben Broussard

Contemplating picking up Burrell and/or Broussard.

Any thoughts on what this season will hold for these guys?

In my case I have a full roster and would probably have to waive either Bernie Williams, Marlon Byrd, or Jimmy Rollins (though I am leaning towards keeping him until Reyes, my backup SS proves that he is healthy).

I don't want to jump the gun on either Pat or Ben... opinions please!

id dump marlon byrd for burrell. way more upside. its not like byrd is gonna win you the league. you could probably find someone with similar stats off the free agents at some point. if burrell returns to form you aren't gonna be able to find anyone his caliber.

my reasoning for keeping Byrd would be that he should be scoring a ton of runs this year in front of Thome and company.

Bernie should get a lot of RBI's so I'm not sure if I want to waive him. This leaves me with Rollins. However Rollins has been working with Tony Gwyn to improve his BA and shortstops are at a premium. My starter is Cintron. I am having trouble justifying carrying 7 OF (with two Dunn & Klesko carrying dual eligibilty @ first). But it is BURRELL out there. I'm trying to gauge what kind of an impact he would have.

For the record, I just dropped Byrd and picked up Burrell.
