Blockbuster in Keeper League(WHIR)

Postby kidsilk » Fri May 17, 2013 1:50 pm

10 team, shallow with only 19 player rosters, H2H, 6 keepers per year with no restrictions, 9x9 cats.

I have been offered HIS Felix, Hamilton, Bourn, and Middlebrooks for MY Panda, McCutchen, and Cliff Lee. Do I pull the trigger on this one?

My Team:

C-Rosario
1B-Pujols
2B-Seager
3B-Panda
SS-Everth Cabrera
LF-Victorino
CF-McCutchen
RF-Parra
U-Fielder
U-Freeman
DL-Stanton

SP-MadBum
SP-Lee
SP-Kershaw
RP-Perkins
RP-Rivera
P-Minor
BN-Cobb
BN-Axford

I think i'd do it. It's not an overwhlemingly great trade but I think Felix is an improvement over Lee and you have to think Hamilton won't be this bad all year. You're keeper situation is pretty much the same as last year, the difference being you'll probably keep Felix instead of McCutchen. Maybe you'll keep Middlebrooks too.

For a keeper id keep what you got. You would be buying low on hamilton, Bourn and Middlebrooks but all of them have ? right now i think. Panda has been very good and id take Cutch over Felix as a keeper.

Looking at your team, id be shopping a 1b since you have fielder, pujols and freeman. Pujols for Felix? Doubtful that would get it done in a keeper but id look for something along those lines.

very tough, but i think u should pull the trigger, ur getting a top 3 pitcher, also hamilton will heat eventually. this trade can go either way.

felix is better than lee. panda is better than Middlebrooks. cutch is better than Hamilton. that's two downgrades over one upgrade. if you could take the of swap out I would maybe do it, or the 3b swap maybe too but not both swaps combined.
please help in return

Nope.

I think Lee>Felix especially when you count in wins, but I can see this being a close call. The rest of the trade is not close.

McCutchen>>Hamilton and/or Bourn (I would take McCutchen over both of them combined).
Panda>>>Middlebrooks

Thanks for the help on mine.

I think I would not accept the deal as is...Cutch and Panda are much better than their counterparts, and Felix is younger than Lee, but that alone is not enough to justify the trade.

Stick with what you have IMO. Hamilton is a mess and Bourn is alright but McCutchen is better than both (maybe even combined). I would take Panda over Middlebrooks as well. I don't think Hamilton is going to right the ship anytime soon either.

Felix is an upgrade over Lee but you are losing out overall.

Help with mine?
