WHICH TRADE WOULD YOU DO? WHIR

Postby Diabl61984 » Fri May 17, 2013 10:26 am

12 team, head to head, 6x6 category, keeper league.

Trade option 1:

Give- JP Arencibia, Andre Ethier
Receive- Alex Rios

Trade Option 2:

Give- JP Arencibia, Andre Ethier, Heath Bell
Receive- BJ Upton, Kris Medlen, Travis Wood

I have 3 catchers, Arencibia is the worst of them. The league has 4 OF positions and Ethier is my worse starting OF (if you think Nate McLouth is better). Also, my pitching isn't too great, but I don't have much in the way of closers. Which trade would you do?

I would do both, but prefer number 2.

The first trade gets me the OF I'm ultimately looking for. I don't believe in Upton at all really, but the second trade gets me some pitching help which I can move for an OF if need be.

I'd go with the first one. Upton looks awful.

Do the first. Rios is a stud this year.

Both good trades, I'd do #1.

I'd take #2.

In a H2H league Upton's average isn't that big of a deal, and he's proven he'll hit for power and run eventually.

Medlen is a solid pick up as well, as I think he'll improve on his start so far.

How much can you afford to give the closer up?

Both look good, and I'd do two if possible. But the first one looks good to go. Would he accept? Need catcher help or something?

Well now it's 3 to 3 with which trade is better. I don't think this has gotten me any closer to a decision lol.

I would do #2 since you get a solid OF or at least an OF that will EVENTUALLY do something in the way of Power and SB and you get a good starter who can only improve in Medlen. Wood is just a throw in.

please help
