He picks up the save, but does some damage to the ERA and WHIP.

he still got the save, and will be a top 10 closer this year. he'll do much better without the NY spotlight. if the marilins get to the post season, or are playing important games in august, thats another story

Aw, crap. He's the guy I ended up drafting in like all of my leagues. Seemed to be undervalued to me. Maybe not...

Looks like my good 'ol ERA and WHIP are going to take more hits. Right after Beckett lowered them, too. I might have to start Marquis now tonight. I was considering going with closers the whole way in my H2H league to win ERA and WHIP. I might have to try to win K and W instead with spot starting.

Well, he did end up getting the save...

I have Benetiz and Vidro, so no damage done...Also have Beckett...hes gonna be an absolute stud this year.

dont get ur panties in a knot ensanimal... benitez has become highly underrated through the years... why does everyone get so excited over ever glitch in his play??! he had a 2.96 ERA last year and has proven he can keep it in the 2's throughout his career... not to mention benitez's career WHIP is a respectable 1.21 and is just one year removed from it being as low as 1.05 in 2002!!

in my mind, benitez is a stud and will be this year in the tune of
2.75 ERA 1.10 WHIP and 35 saves... not to mention well over a k an inning ;-D

Get used to it. Benitez loves living life on the edge. He was solid most of the time, but caused a lot of hair pulling too for us Met fans.

I'm not...I believe Benitez will have an excellent year in FLA... just not the way I wanted him to start off.

hehe same here.. that 9.00 ERA and 2 WHIP isnt gonna look pretty in the league standings tomorrow :-P

it's pretty safe to say he'll get those #s down as the season progresses ;-D
