Is Buck dried up?

Postby Colt452011 » Sat May 11, 2013 11:25 pm

Have we squeezed just about all we can get out of this vine? I'm sittin on Buck and Ruiz and I'm thinking I'll likely get the same numbers out of both of them and I should just drop Buck and pick up someone. What does everything think about Buck and his production going forward vs Ruiz? Thanks.

Yeah, I'd drop Buck, the fun is over. I don't know what I'd really expect from Ruiz though, but I'd probably take him over Buck since Buck will likely just kill your average for the rest of the season. What are the other options out there?

Judging from my needs I need a different 2B with Weeks not doing anything and now hitting in the bottom half if the order. Best options are Mark Ellis who should be off the DL soon, Ryan Roberts, Ronny Cedeno and Chris Getz. I could drop Buck and pick up Francisco Liriano who did well but I don't know if it's sustainable. Heck I don't even mind dumping Buck for a prospect as it's a keeper league but I just don't know who's close to a call up. I'd like to stash Wheeler but who knows?

The answer is probably, but every once in a while you get a Pierzynski who keeps it up all year so you can't be sure.

He's going to slow down sooner or later. Don't drop him though. Try and flip him.
