Since we're doing this, I have a team that im really frustrated with as well.
I feel like 6 of my first 7 picks are playing about as welll as could possibly be expected, but.... ugh.
How well would you expect this team to do in a 12 team 5x5 league (OBP and QS. oh and SV+HLD):

C Ruiz
1B Fielder
2B Kinsler
3B Lawrie (Carpenter)
SS Asdrubal
OF Harper
OF Bautista
OF Melky
UT Berkman
BN Carpenter, Saunders

SP Lee, Samarjdiza, Lincecum, Moore,
Cashner, H Bailey,
Beachy DL
RP Holland, Hernandez, Henderson, Marshall

I don't think Melky should be a starting OF in that league. Lincecum and Cashner are certainly not every game starters in that. Ruiz is a very weak C in a 12 team 1 C league. Overall it shouldn't be bad though. I don't know if it is daily or weekly but if it is weekly that is too many RP.

Thanks for the input Ender, appreciate it.
Yes its daily.
Picked up Saunders last week and Melky has been sitting more than playing ever since.
Inaugural season of a new keeper league.
Timmy sits a lot, Cashner is a recent add and hasnt pitched for me yet, but ya those guys are a definite problem. And forgot I have Villanueva whos also not very good.
C is a complete disaster. Drafted Jesus in ~20th round, then went Gattis, Now Ruiz. have Zunino in the NA slot.

But even so, I thought this team should be better than dead last. Right?

Wish I could tell you it is but since I have one team that is 12 of 14 and another that is 14 of 14 I can't offer advice! This has been a really goofy start to the season with a ton of players just ice cold and a lot of really bad players off to insanely hot starts. I honestly believe that at this point in the season the teams that drafted the best are almost never going to be in 1st.

I hope you're right. 12/12 in my only league.

I finally cut bait on Vogelsong(on my bench tonight luckily) for Estrada.

5x5 h2h: Going forward, Kubel or Ethier? I have Lawrie on the bench to plug in when AZ is facing a lefty.

Zack Greinke (collarbone) is expected to rejoin the Dodgers' rotation on May 15 for a start against the Nationals
are they rushing him back? i understand the panic in LA, and quite honestly i love it, but wow..

I heard soon after the injury that Greinke would likely be back well before the estimated return date. The rationale was that he'd be able to throw as he recovered from the injury so he wouldn't need much rehab time. I'm not an injury expert but Stephania Bell claims to be one and was the one that I originally heard point this out. This led to me acquiring Greinke in a trade from his disgruntled owner (who is probably only mildly gruntled since Big Erv has done pretty well for him) a few weeks ago.

I typically alternate between absolutely awful and competitive. Hopefully that says something about the types of leagues that we are choosing to play in.

This year things look good but I'm only playing in one dynasty league. And it's built to win for the next couple of years.
