Obviously hurting for saves and they are hard to come by in this league. Almost every set-up guy is owned. Thinking about just blowing up my SP and trying to trade Medlen and Fister for a couple of closers. I feel like my offense is better than it's scoring but I'm sitting dead last in ERA and second to last in saves. Other option is to punt saves, but I feel like I'm better off trading for closers and streaming SP. Thoughts?
Very nice MI but the rest of your offense is going to struggle all year. In a 5 OF league it looks like you have three OF4's and two OF3's.
And thats the biggest issue with the team. You went all infield early in the draft and therefore have no power or RBI at all in your OF, and only limited speed, (but you should score enough runs to compete there)
Youre not getting anything at all from C or UT. 1B is not ideal since Berkman sits twice a week (at least it feels like that in the league I own him in) and Loney has zero power.
Pitching looks average to slightly below average with not much upside beyond Cain returning to a top 12 type SP. Not any really high K guys and some serious question marks in McCarthy, Colon, Cobb and Santiago.
And obv saves are an issue.
Overall I would expect that if this team plays up to potential it would finish somewhere in the bottom third, but possibly as high as 6th or 7th if some guys like Melky/Rasmus/Rollins really pick it up.
