Here's a nice discussion on it. Read the article, but then more importantly read the comments.

....then you'll still wonder what's going on! :-B (seems like there is no consensus yet. hopefully things turn around soon).

Between that and his good start last night his ERA is way down now.

Just goes to show how fickle a stat ERA is. He had a decent outing and allowed 4 more runs (2 earned) and his ERA ended up 1.5 runs lower than it was the day before. I don't think his SIERA has budged over the past week. Buy-low time is probably over, although you still migth be able to convince his owner to trade him based on the velocity loss.

Price had a start back on May 4th in Colorado where he gave up 9 ER. ouch.
..but wait. I noticed on yahoo fantasy page a stat correction. that 9 ER was changed to 4 ER!! 5 of those runs are now UNearned.
awesome!

The 5 ER actually went the other way and were added to his line. When he left hurt tonight I actuaclly was kind of happy because he cant kill my ratios from the DL. (Only hoping for a couple month trip tho)

No they weren't, they were subtracted. Price is my fault, sorry guys. Every single stud pitcher I drafted this year has been awful and every hitter in the league who is hitting under .200 with no power is on one of my teams. This season has been a complete loss for me from a fantasy standpoint.

Sorry to hear that Endy, which pitchers are you referring to? Because if it's Cain or Dickey I think they'll turn around for you.

I've got Price in one of my leagues, my most expensive, least effective pitcher. Luckily I also have Harvey and Ogando for Bargain basement value.

You know, I've got this funny feeling because last year I felt Price would flop and he was overrated but he goes out and wins the Cy young on me. His overall ERA was pretty mediocre for that ballpark and his second half K/BB ratio fell dramatically which is why I felt that way.

Now I think he has just been overworked. You know what Price's injury mean?, sell high time on Matt Moore, he will have a very, very, short leash, henceforth.
