Dropped Halladay for Ozuna...right move?

Postby KHowe » Mon May 06, 2013 7:35 am

I am in a 14 team, 5x5 rotissiere league.

I'm last in Runs, HR, Average and SB. My pitching has been the only thing keeping me reasonably afloat. I was currently NOT playing anyone in one outfield spot, simply because I didn't have room on my roster. I needed to drop someone, so I cut ties with Halladay. Was this this right move?

C - Posey
1B - K. Moralaes
2B - B. Phillips
3B - K. Seager
SS - A. Cabrera
2B/SS - JJ Hardy
1B/3B - P. Alvarez
OF - A. De Aza
OF - D. Span
OF -
Util - R. Zimmerman
Bench - G. Stanton (Injured, no DL spots)
DL - M. Teixiera

Pitching:

J. Zimmerman
M. Latos
L. Lynn
J. Hammel
T. Cingriani
T. Lincecum
R. Halladay
M. Rivera
S. Cishek
E. Mujica

Bench - K. Fukikawa (Injured, no DL spot)

The move was OK. Personally I would have dropped Fukikawa since there is no guarantee he closes when he comes back instead of Halladay. I am the Halladay owner in my 10 team league and plan on waiting until the results of today's physical before making any moves (I feel your pain though been burned by him the entire first month) %-6 . However, there is no way you can afford to play minus one position and expect to win a roto league.
