Starling Marte successfully hit his 4th HR of May and is on pace to hit 20HR this month. It's a Marte Parte for Starling Marte owners around the world as he is batting .325/.390/.528 in 30 games this season and he's on pace for 26 homers, 84 RBI, 52 stolen bases and 125 runs scored. Obviously he isn't going to keep these paces up and the partay must end sometime, but for now, Marte owners will party on!
When Giancarlo Stanton was placed on the DL, the Miami Marlins pulled up 22 year old Marcell Ozuna from AA. While he has only sported a .260-.270 average in his past 3 seasons in the minors, he has managed to consistently hit 20+ HR a year. This includes one year where he only played 68 games. He has the ability to steal 10 bases a year and Marcell has a cannon for an arm and is a decent fielder, which may keep him in the lineup in comparison to Pierre. I'm hoping that when Stanton comes back Ozuna gets moved to left field, but if he's not starting it is most likely he gets sent back to the minors. But as we know with Stanton and Fernandez, Miami has a history of pulling and keeping players up young, so keep an eye on this guy. He's already clubbed his first homerun of his career.
The Los Angeles Dodgers got swept by the Giants Gosh it really sucks to be a Dodgers fan right now. Hanley Ramirez lands back on the DL, 6 days ago Yasiel Puig got arrested for reckless driving, Matt Kemp is sucking, they have 5 starting pitchers on the DL and did I mention they just got swept by the Giants? The Lakers tried to buy a championship and they barely made the playoffs to only get swept. Last year the Dodgers added Hanley, A Gonz, and Crawford to the DL to choke and watch the Giants win a World Series form their living room couches. Will the Dodgers share the same fate again this year? One can only hope
Torii Hunter is a beast
.: Today's Games :. CWS: Sale (3-2, 3.83) KC: Shields (2-2, 3.00)
OAK: Parker (1-4, 7.36) CLE: Jimenez, U (1-2, 7.13)
When I played ball, my favorite thing to do was exploit free bases just like that ^ This is why Torii is one of my favorite players. His head is always in the game.

The answer to the poll is Roy Hobbs, but I went with Rick Vaughn cause he was on steroids, and I want steroid guys on my team.
Today I've got Cliff Lee @SF and Andrew Cashner vsMIA, so I've got some decent expectations. Hopefully there isn't a repeat performance of Cashner @CHC (although according to our resident Padres homer(s), he was getting squeezed). May the strike zone be as wide as Kim Kardashian's gross, pregnant hips today.
Also a reminder that Ben Zobrist has a funeral to attend, so may not play today, as he did not yesterday.
