what happens when Stanton comes back? can Ozuna remain in Miami and continue to start on a regular basis?
Ozuna is/was one of the Marlins top prospects. he played in A+ last season, started this year with 4 games in A+ before playing 10 games in AA.
rotoworld suggested he would "strike out a ton".
Marlins recalled outfielder Marcell Ozuna from Double-A Jacksonville.
Christian Yelich is still working his way back after missing time with plantar fasciitis, so Ozuna gets the call in Giancarlo Stanton's place. The 22-year-old had a .333/.383/.810 line in 10 games for Jacksonville. He'll likely strike out a ton during his major league stint, but he should hit for enough power to be of use in NL-only leagues while Stanton is out.
he hasn't been striking out a lot with Miami.
11 A - 8.3 BB%, 21.9 K%
12 A+ - 8.2 BB%, 21.5 K%
13 AA - 6.4 BB%, 19.1 K%
Marlins - 5.3 BB%, 10.5 K%
he has had some impressive power numbers in the minors.
11 A - 23 HR (131 games/ 496 AB)
12 A+ - 24 HR (129 games/ 489 AB)
13 AA - 5 HR (10 games/ 42 AB)
the Marlins already called up top prospect Jose Fernandez to start the season, so couldn't it be likely they keep Ozuna up and playing once Stanton returns?
Juan Pierre has been the regular in LF, but I think he could benched. he hasn't been very good. (.217/.259/.245/.504)
