Starling Marte for Shelby Miller, Always WHIR!

Postby coldfusion » Sun May 05, 2013 4:54 pm

His Starling Marte for my Shelby Miller. It's a 10 team H2H dynasty league, 5x5 cats plus OBP, SLG, Holds, and K/BB.

My pitching staff has been amazing this year and obviously I should be unloading some of that strength to shore up some holes on offense, but still, Miller is looking like a fantasy stud right now which is why I'm hesitant to deal him. And I buying too high on Marte here or should I pull the trigger? Will always WHIR, loving helping out other teams!

My team:

C Russell Martin
1B Joey Votto
2B Danny Espinosa
3B Pablo Sandoval
SS Jed Lowrie
MI Jimmy Rollins
CI Albert Pujols
LF Josh Hamilton
CF Andrew McCutchen
RF Jose Bautista
OF Alex Rios
OF Shane Victorino
Ut Mark Reynolds
Bn David Ortiz
Bn Ryan Raburn
Bn Brandon Crawford
DL Brian McCann

SP Clayton Kershaw
SP Felix Hernandez
SP Clay Buchholz
SP Max Scherzer
RP Sergio Romo
RP Grant Balfour
RP Addison Reed
P Edward Mujica
P Shelby Miller
P Mat Latos
Bn Cliff Lee
Bn Tony Cingrani
Bn RA Dickey

This is a hard one. Predicting what rookies are going to do is difficult, but I think it's a fair trade. Marte's power surge won't last, but he will definitely be a speed threat and probably hit for a decent average.

Actually, on second thought, I would definitely deal Miller for Marte, especially with your pitching staff.

Thanks for help on mine.

I know he is on fire right now but we can see what Marte is capable of doing, I would be a buyer overall because you have good pitching staff. I think they both settle in and continue to be fantasy contributors this season.

Marte is having a breakout year. Miller will be great but still has to go through the league a second time. I would take Marte for this year.

Take Marte. Miller is no slouch but you can afford the pitching loss and Marte is a great 5x5 contributor.

I like it for you. Your SP is already deep and you have two young aces in kershaw and Felix right now. And latos and scherzer there. Plus cingrani. I think it's appropriate. With an aging Hamilton and Bautista as your corner OF I think it's a nice exchange to gain marte to replace them, or even in your OF slots.

Marte is an improvement for your team. You can afford the loss of Miller with your pitching staff. Marte's power won't last at the current pace, but his speed will continue with decent BA. Take Marte.

Good luck
