Beltran, Harvey, Zimm(3B) vs. Price, Kemp, Nava (WHIR)

Postby stackitup31 » Sat May 04, 2013 9:53 am

12 team H2h points league with extended rosters

Just got an offer and I have been wanting to move Beltran before the inevitable trip to the DL. While I like Kemp/ Price I feel like I'm giving up too much for the amount of risk I'm taking. Nava really doesn't mean much of anything for me, he may get some starts as my 5th outfielder but really has no value for me. Should I be considering this or am I valuing my guys correctly?

Thanks guys leave me a link.

You're giving up Beltran, Zimm, and Harvey?

I love Harvey; he is still on his first or second trip through the league. He could be an ace and a half; Price is.

Kemp has injury potnetial, but Beltran has injuries EVERY year, and Zimm as well. Take Kemp>>Beltran, Price>>Harvey, and I think Zimm is overrated at this point.

Take it.

Yup, I'm giving up Harvey, Beltran, Zimm. I thought Zimm was a bit overrated as it is. Plus I have Arenando and Donaldson who should be capable fill ins.

I'd take the Price/Kemp end of the deal. Harvey is a stud but he's far from settled and will likely hit some bumps in the road. Zimm gets hurt, it's what he does. Good luck! ;-D

I'm actually surprised that so many people are telling me to take the deal. Price just hasn't looked like Price at all is year. Meh I might try to counter and maybe go back to this deal if that fails.

It all depends for me. If this is a keeper league then I say don't do it as Harvey is too good to give up in that format. but if is just a one year redraft league then I have no problem taking the 2 best players in the deal

Nope just a one year. Well, my thoughts seem to be in the minority. I felt as though I was taking a ton of risk albeit with a ton of upside but risk none the less. I'm more worried about Price than I am Kemp. I think Kemp will definitely come around but Price after watching some starts worries me. He isn't looking like how he used to both in attitude as well as in his stuff. 2 weeks ago I would have been all over it but the more starts I see out of Kemp the more worried I become.

I don't know why everyone is saying to take this deal. I say DON'T.
Harvey has been dealing! Price has not.
Kemp is under performing, he'll probably turn it around. Beltran hasn't been hurt yet and he's playing on the better team.
If you're not even planning on using Nava much then what do I need to say?
I don't take it but maybe I'm just to in love with Harvey.

I'm pretty much in line with your thinking and it was my first thought upon receiving the trade. I actually assumed people would be telling me not to take it. Lol I'm in your boat, I need to face the fact I must be a Matt Harvey fan boy. I took Harvey in every league I'm in. Well, I'll probably end up kicking myself but unless I can work out some revised trade I won't be taking the deal.

Well I think Harvey is the real deal.
I own him and Price in my league and Price has just had a disppointing start really.

If all stay healthy, I don't think you'll be kicking yourself over this one.
