Nice trade, BL. ;-D

Lol. Didn't you give Kershaw plus, for Hamilton?

Not in my eyes. Fernandez is a borderline free agent in that league and Arencibia is better than what I have in Montero. You obviously see more in Fernandez than I do, but the deal was Kershaw for Hamilton in my book.

Just for the record so everyone see's the entire deal.

I give up Hamilton and Jose Fernandez for Kershaw and JP Arencibia.
oh make no bones, i think you clearly got the better deal

This entire thread is a who's who of who I drafted this year. :-P I drafted Blue Jays all over the place. I haven't given up on Melky, and I refuse to as long as Oakland is leading MLB in runs scored. It's still early.

I'll just reiterate that in a world where Yuni B has as many HR/RBI as Ryan Braun, anything can happen. It is still insanely early to be giving up on any established player. If you drafted someone in the first 10 rounds that you are thinking of giving up on at this point it was a mistake to draft the person as early as you did. If you drafted someone in rounds 11 to 16 or so that you are giving up on you are probably giving up on them too fast. Guys you draft after round 16 are heavily based on upside so those are the guys that you should feel safe moving around if you don't like what you see.

Unless that player is Roy Halladay. I drafted him thinking there is no way a player could go from historically good to historically bad this quickly.

Seeing some stronger options axed than I would've expected to see this soon in the season peaked my interest. The earliest pick I dropped in my main league was Shaun Marcum (pick #329) but I'm strongly considering kicking Jon Niese (pick #209) to the curb soon. I've also offloaded Oscar Tavares (152), Julio Teheran (185), and CoCo Crisp (257) but they were traded.

I gave up on Teheran several weeks ago. I wasn't high on him to begin with. He was just a flyer.

I've seen Niese hit the wire in 2 of my 4 leagues so far.

I scooped Reddick up in one league last week.

Konerko was dropped in my 14 team league, I have the #1 waiver but I don't have a spot for him unless I want to bench LaRoche or Cuddyer, and I'd have to drop a P I am using to get him. I'm probably going to let someone else have him, hope I don't kick myself for it later.
