Ramon Ortiz is starting against BOS?

You know, the guy that turns 40 shortly and has 1400+ innings of nearly 5 ERA with 5.6 K/9. Who also allows a HR every 6 IP.

Pre-season favourites? :-?

I prefer to refer to him as the guy who hasn't had a decent MLB season in a decade.

It is painful to watch but they will make a comeback, you just gotta have faith.

Bluejays faithful here, gotta have faith in your team.

I don't see a whole lot to indicate that they're going to make a comeback this season.

Yeah, can't see them turning it around anytime soon. Their only reliable starter is Dickey. Morrow's start got pushed back again. They are running guys like Ramon Ortiz, Chad Jenkins and Broken Ricky out there. They have to deal with Buehrle every 5th day. Even if the offense picks up, you can't expect them to score seven runs every game.

I would temper my expectations for a turn around this season if I were you. They have played poorly and now have too many injuries to climb out of that hole.

Rajai Davis placed on DL with hammy issues
Morrow and Dickie suffering neck and back stiffness
Bautista still has back issues

Not optimistic

Hitters returning to their career averages will make a significant difference, but if your entire rotation is imploding at the same time with injuries, that will kind of cancel that out.

Romero won't be getting run out there any time soon. Check out his line in AAA today.

I think it would be hilarious if the blue jays turned around and traded all those marlins they got.

Wouldn't be any surprise. Johnson is definitely on the trade block as an impending FA and if the Jays got a taker for Buehrle's contract, they'd likely move him too.

The Can't Cut List has been updated to remove Toronto SP R.A. Dickey.
