Receive Sale/D Murphy for Maholm/altuve [WHIR]

Postby zbuschlen » Thu May 02, 2013 4:40 pm

Standard ESPN H2H 10 team league. He is really in need of a 2B, and I could use some help in SP. . Wood and Grimm below are just on the team for the day since they're starting today. The deal was originally for Cingrani but he got cold feet. Now he wants Maholm. Still a fair trade? Im thinking yes. Maybe I can have him sweeten the pot though. He was worried Cingrani may not make the rotation once Cueto comes back,

So once again. I get Daniel Murphy, NYM 2B and Chris Sale, CWS SP for Jose Altuve, HOU 2B and Paul Maholm, ATL SP.

C Matt Wieters, Bal C
1B Paul Goldschmidt, Ari 1B
2B Howie Kendrick, LAA 2B
3B Kyle Seager, Sea 3B
SS Alcides Escobar, KC SS
2B/SS Jose Altuve, Hou 2B
1B/3B Lance Berkman, Tex 1B, DH
OF Carlos Gonzalez, Col OF
OF Adam Jones, Bal OF
OF Allen Craig, StL 1B, OF
OF Carlos Gomez, Mil OF
OF Daniel Nava, Bos OF
UTIL Jonathan Lucroy, Mil C
Bench Ike Davis, NYM 1B
DL Jason Heyward*, Atl OF DL15

PITCHERS
P Clayton Kershaw, LAD SP
P Cole Hamels, Phi SP
P Mat Latos, Cin SP
P J.J. Putz, Ari RP
P Sergio Romo, SF RP
P Grant Balfour, Oak RP
P Edward Mujica, StL RP
P Travis Wood, ChC
P Justin Grimm, Tex SP

Bench Paul Maholm, Atl SP

Bench Tony Cingrani, Cin SP

I agree with Maddog. Sale is a huge upgrade over Cingrani & makes the trade worth it for you.

While Maholm is good. He isnt as good as sale. The only issue is he will probably end with more wins because of atlantas lineup.
You are actually upgrading at 2b too. I think if you want innings and SOs Sale will end up being better. If you want wins. Maholm will be...

Even bigger win for you honestly even if there is more risk in Cingrani. I'd still do it. If I'm buying into a turned around starter I would rather have Guthrie or Vogelsong lol..
