Granderson for Matt Carpenter? WHIR

Postby redskincow » Wed May 01, 2013 4:58 pm

Looking to see if I should trade Matt Carpenter for Curtis Granderson. Thoughts?

Would this be fair? I have Carpenter.

I love that Carpenter can play 2B, 3B, MI for me since those are hard to fill. However, Granderson could be a better investment for the rest of the season.

I also have Eaton coming back from DL in late May so this will make Parra expendable.

Check out my roster and scoring in my signature.

Thanks!

Sorry but didn't see my signature so adding below...

Yea I'd take a shot with Granderson. Carpenter is solid but unspectacular. He doesn't possess too much power or speed, and as a UTIL it might be nice to spice it up with Granderson. I'd make the move.

Thanks. Well Carpenter has been solid (and better than expected) in my pts league since he hits lots of doubles and get runs. He doesn't strikeout like Grandy either. Carpenter is just an unknown commodity. He's basically the 10th best 2B and 3B so far in this league so solid but not amazing.

Wo, I love Carpenter. Have him on all 3 of my teams in which he is eligible. If you need him as a starter, I'd take Grandy. If you need him as a bench player for Monday/Thursday (where a bench player who qualifies at multiple positions is huge), take Carpenter.

Carpenter has been a nice bat, but I'd still be happy to trade him away to get Granderson.

Hmm well that would solve your OF hole and with Eaton's return you can dump Parra or maybe dela him for Prado try.

Thanks all for the help...grandy for carpenter isn't happening....MadDog - you think prado for grandy would work? Seems like Prado is worth a bit more than Grandy to me in my format.

I could also try carpenter for lorenzo cain?
