Confidence in Bailey at Closer?

Postby bcdavis31 » Wed May 01, 2013 1:11 pm

How confident are you that Bailey will retain the closer spot over Hanrahan for the Red Sox?

I realize that the Sox said that Bailey was the guy when Hanrahan recently came off the DL, but managers always want to project a sense of confidence in their players. Do you think Bailey will continue producing like he has? Do you think if he slips up, the Sox will give it back to Hanrahan? I have both pitchers right now and am looking to drop Hanrahan if Bailey is going to be their guy.

Thanks.

Bailey is going to be their guy. However they paid a lot of money to Hanrahan to come over and handle that gig so it will be his again before the end of the year probably. The biggest problem is that they are both really good... and they are both a lock for closer on any team. I would continue to ride Bailey while he is hot and keep your eye on the wire for a replacement if he starts getting hit.
