I'd do Cano for Verlander/Chapman then.

I usually prefer to get the better player in 2-for-1 deals but in this case I'd prefer an elite SP/CL combo.

I also like the pitching side in both cases.

Despite a relatively high innings cap (1400) I already find myslef 60 innings ahead of pace. I'm therefore taking today's Maholm start as an opportunity to save some innings. He has not been good the last 2 times out and I figure I'll see if he has sorted it out tonight on my bench.

Unless anyone thinks this is a big mistake???

Rough one for Cashner. This is the kind of outing we're gonna have to deal with unfortunately. As long as he keeps having more good outings than wild ones, I'll be happy.

Cashner is getting squeezed, but nothing like Sale is. It's outrageous, and the sole reason Texas is scoring all these runs. No wonder all these runs get scored in Texas, you have to throw it down the middle to get a strike call.

Thank god for Jordan Zimmerman. Maybe I won't trade him after all. I had actually never seen him pitch and he's got amazing stuff. A 93-95 fastball, a snappy little slider that's tough to pick up, and a 12-6 that's flat nasty.

stupid ump. all we ask for is a consistent strikezone for both pitchers. If Cashner has to toss it down the middle of the plate to get a call, so does the other guy. its not that hard a hole.

He's also wild, this could be very very ugly.
