Twins sign Kenny Rogers

Kenny Rogers signed Kenny Rogers today, likely sending Johan Santana back to the bull-pen. I wonder why they don't trust Santana.

That was a great episode, kramers apartment was all red all the time. And for texas, i guess the song "the gambler" applies to kenny rogers.

Does this mean trouble for Johan Santana or Kyle Lohse?

as of right now? Probably Santana to the pen. Lohse might be kicked out of the rotation if he continues to suck in spring training and early in the season. If you are drafting this weekend, both of them look like risks. I'm sending Santana way down (after bumping him way up last week).

"The Twins were confident Johan Santana could fill the spot, as he did last season when Milton, Brad Radke and Joe Mays missed a total of more than six months to injuries. But Santana, 8-6 with a 2.99 ERA last year, is more valuable in the bullpen as a long or short left-handed reliever.


"We know Santana can start," manager Ron Gardenhire said after Wednesday's game. "He's going to be a starter in this league. But this strengthens this baseball team."

It sounds like they aren't down on Santana at all, they just feel like at this point he is more valuable to them in the bullpen. What is wrong with these General Managers? Don't they know that moves like this screw people in fantasy land?
