And another one on a 1-2 pitch to Prado. I hate baseball sometimes.

Cain may still be on the buy low list, but the low has gotta be very low. Is he tipping pitches?

Umm.. There are a bunch of things wrong here.

1) unless you took him in the first rd, it's way too early to say you were wrong with this pick.

2) he's had more ks than innings pitched in 5 of 6 starts, including 8 in 6 innings tonight.

3) he's had a quality start in 5 of 6 starts this season. His era is 3.16. His whip is 1.12.

While, it is true that he has not pitched well, this is exactly what elite pitchers do when they are out of rhythm. They get by and put up solid numbers even when they're struggling. I think now might be a good time to step back and remember that it's not even may yet.

Strasburg will constantly be dealing with injuries because his mechanics completely fall apart once he is tired. It wasn't a fluke that he needed TJ and it isn't a fluke that people are always worried every time he has some minor injury flag. He is an amazing pitcher but it is a hard sell to think he will survive more than 5 or 6 years in the league unless he changes something.

He's just not going to continue giving up homeruns at this rate. The sample is still small and we have years of data showing that it will likely regress. It's at 20% for the season which is just ridiculous. Every mistake is getting punished and even good pitches are getting hit out. I'm not sure if he's tipping pitches, but he's definitely not this bad.
