Looking for the best overall video game with an emphasis on GM mode and fantasy drafting.

MVP! Woohoo! Great GM mode, fantasy draft all the way down to your AA team if you want, best game out there. Well, of the ones I've played. I had WS baseball for Sega (about 12 years old now, but it was the best at it's time), had MLB for PS1, and it wasn't good at all, and now MVP for XBox and it's awesome. Oh, and I had "Baseball" for Atari. No brand name, just "Baseball". And I played that gaem more than all the others combined, back in the good old 80's :-D

Hitting the square ball with a batter made out of little squares. I had it too. :-) In fact, had all 3 of the Atari systems while growing up including the 2600, 5200, 7800, Colecovision, Intellivision, the original Pong (hooked up to the TV and only played that one game), and many more as I got older.

Wasn't that baseball game awesome? No player names, no announcer, didn't even have an outfield wall :-b just a bunch of squares moving around on the field. I think there were 2 colours used in the whole game: Green for the background, and white dots for players, bases, the ball, and basically anything else.

Ever play One-on-One basketball, with Bird and Dr. J on the cover? Now THAT was a good game ;-D

Easily go with ESPN. MVP's franchise mode is awful. After the first offseason, player's barely progress, and eventually, there will be no one in the league rated over 80. ESPN's franchise is AWESOME.

I haven't really played any other games, but MVP is awesome. I'm only in my first year, so i dunno how the rookie draft and player progression and stuff like that is, but MVP's is very cool. You recieve e-mails about injuries, strategies, and trade talk (very cool). And you can control the minor leagues! U can do a fantasy draft, too.
