C. Lee for B. Phillips...WHIR

Postby jtsandwich » Sat Apr 27, 2013 12:42 pm

13 team 5x5, I have been offered Phillips for Lee.

My rotation is
Lee
RA Dickey
Gio Gonza
Matt Moore
Y Gallardo
Matt Cain
Ryu
K Kendrick

As you can see I am deep at SP, my bats are solid but I have D. Espinosa at 2B with Everth Cabrera at SS. My bats are...
C JP
C Avila
1B K Morales
2B Espinosa
SS E Cabrera
3B Sandoval
MI M Young
CI Zimmerman
OF Crawford
OF J Bruce
OF A Rios
OF V Wells
OF Bourne
U D Ortiz

I have a couple servicable plug ins for Bourne and Zimmerman, that don't concern me.

My SP's are strong but under performing, but they will come around. My thought is to counter with Matt Moore over C. Lee and maybe toss in an overachieving Kyle Kendrick. I have a lot of speed and run producers and I could use RBI guys and Phillips is batting 4th and is producing RBI's.

Your thoughts and as always WHIR

Assuming he needs a quality MI why not offering him Espinosa and RA Dickey for his Philips. Kendrick might can get traded I'd try a different deal for him.

Toughie. It's pretty early in the season though. I'm not ready to make this leap yet. I think Lee is dramatically more valuable than Phillips...at this point in the year. The long term chance of finding a serviceable 2B are still good, even if Espinosa doesn't come around.

I'm partly a Lee fanboy too :)

Hope this helps. Help w/ mine?
