If J-Hey being dropped wasn't shocking enough...now this ?

Postby MadDog36 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 5:56 pm

Well I am extremely upset at this ijut in my yahoo keeper league. Why in god's name would you first drop Heyward (which was let through) and now Stanton too? One of the complainers is demanding the other Heyward transaction be reversed as well even though I burned a waiver on him AND the LM let that through. He was given a little bit of flack for it, but Jimmy said that it was his own stupid error for doing it and basically 'sit on it, live with it."

I've already seen three postings demand this transaction be reversed but there's one problem our LM is out of town on a business trip and won't have time to access the league for next four days. Isn't this just great?

What to do:

1) QUIT RIGHT NOW AND DON'T PLAY IN A LEAGUE WITH SOMEONE YOU THINK IS CHEATING. :-t

2) PLEAD WITH YAHOO TO REVERSE THE TRANSACTION (IF THEY WILL AFTER I EXPLAIN LM LEAVE OF ABSENCE)

3) SEND JIMMY A TEXT ABOUT THE BAD TRANSACTION AND ASK IF HE CAN REVERSE THE TRANSACTION REMOTELY FROM HIS PHONE, THEN QUIT. :-S

4) SAME AS 3, EXCEPT HANG AROUND BUT IF ONE MORE BAD TRANSACTION THEN QUIT. :-X

5) COMPLAIN TIL SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING.

6) DO NOTHING AND JUST LEAVE AT SEASON'S END.

I rarely get upset at things like this but the timing wtih the LM being out of town is terrible. I have three of my personal friends (that are not involved in this bad waiver transaction) in this league so this league does mean something to me.

Someone dropping Heyward and Stanton in a keeper league definitely qualifies as 'dumping,' which most league Constitutions have a clause against. Does yours?

Dude when an owner starts dumping players in a league it just ruins that league for me.I assume that you are probably in several leagues. If that is the case then I would send a text to the commish and then quit.

That'll teach you for not using Yahoo's "Can't Cut List".

I prefer to get everyone else going crazy and then step into the background play out the season and drop the league at the end of the year.

Absolute bull shit IMO. I would definitely contact the commish and see if he can counter this transaction. If you are going to just dump Stanton in a keeper league why atleast make a trade and get youth in return. Also the manager who is doing this should be replaced immediately and inform your LM to turn on the can't cut list

Ok well an update to this: apparently someone beat me to the punch and contacted him (he posted his # for contacting on a league email so its cool). Stanton was placed back on the guy's team and his roster has been locked for 2 weeks as penalty for the two bad drops one week for each.

So I guess this crisis has abated. Thank the good lord.

I refuse to quit because I know the commish, 3 of my friends are in it, it just this one guy who is very very impatient. I just found out its big Don's little cousin and this is first league. He doesn't really understand.

So I am taking back my complaining etc.

Ah, yes, first time league with a kid? Is it possible to have him get a second owner just to make sure there are reasonable moves being made?

Help with mine:

Glad it worked out, but ya gotta get that "no cut" list activated if you are going to stay in that league.

And no children allowed...

Help with mine please?
