Trading Pujols...WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:27 pm

Which of the following would warrant me dealing Pujols (One for One)...I know he is hurting and all, and is still Pujols, but being in a keeper league, I am trying to see what I can get for him that would be worth trading.

Players:
David Wright - Adam Jones - Y. Cespedes - Jason Heyward - Jay Bruce - David Price - Darvish - Goldschmidt

Not sure if I should be looking to trade him anyways, but just looking for the most for him at this moment. Team and League stuff below. Thanks!

10 teams Roto, keeper, 5x5(OBP replaces AVG)

my team:
C - Posey
1B - Pujols
2B - Zobrist
SS - I Desmond
3B - Miguel Cabrera
OF- Cuddyer
OF - Braun
OF - Fowler
Util - Rizzo
Util - Altuve
B - Aoki
B - Machado
B - Hosmer
B - Arecenbia
DL - Hart

SP - Kershaw, Sale, M Moore, McCarthy, T Hudson, A Sanchez,
CP - Balfour, R Soriano, A Bailey, Fujikawa

In a keeper I dont think I could trade him in a one for one on any of those guys.

Fair enough...I have been offered Cespedes and Darvish for Sale and Pujols, but think I am giving up way too much...I did just send him an email offering him Pujols and Sale for Trout. I may be slightly overpaying for him, but can see the value in a keeper...Thanks for your feedback.

How many teams in your league, what are the categories, and how many players do you keep? I think Pujols is rapidly losing value, so if I owned him in a keeper league, which I don't, I would be looking to move him. Of the players you list, I'm most interested in Goldschmidt, but I don't necessarily think its a 1-1 trade.

Help with mine? http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=459263

Pujols/Fowler for Darvish Goldschmidt and Bruce?
That is a more fair offer for you.

You know he won't get that deal. Pujols/Fowler/Machado for Darvish/Goldy/Bruce. That's a good deal for you that you may get accepted. Pujols is the best player, but you get the next three best players who are all relatively young.

In a one-for-one, the only two I would consider would be Wright or Jones, and then only if you really think Albert is going to decline quickly.

If I had Pujols, I'd be trying to move him, too, but right now you won't get full value. If you can land a second-rounder for him, right now that is the best you can probably do.
