Same thing happened to Dunn a couple years back and he sucked all year.

My friend ran 16 miles 48 hours after his appendectomy. It's not that serious, and had nothing to do with Dunn sucking.

What is his excuse this season? Dunn was really hot to start last year but managed only a .729 OPS after the all star break. He just isn't a very good player anymore.

Yeah, Heyward could probably play tomorrow but I'm guessing he sits out a few games.

Big deal. I ran 17 miles while chugging beers, and a day after ACL surgery.

As someone who has had an laparoscopic appendectomy (3 minimal cuts in abdomen), I can tell you there is no way Jason can play professional baseball within a week. The torque of swinging a bat and throwing a ball will be too painful, plus he'll lose a lot of strength during the surgery.

My guess is two weeks. Could be up to 4 or 5 before he feels "normal" again

Didn't someone have this surgery a few years back, and then started two days later? Was that Dunn? I don't remember

The expectation when he had the surgery was "as many as 5 games" missed, but I don't know how long he was actually out. If Heyward misses more than a few days he's a fairy. Nut up.
