Roster Advice. Who to grab off Waiver Wire. WHIr

Postby goldallinmypayne » Mon Apr 22, 2013 10:47 am

My team..
C- Wilin Rosario
1B- Albert Pujols
2B- Jose Altuve
3B- Brett Lawrie (Hanley on DL)
SS- Ian Desmond
LF- Justin Upton
CF- Mike Trout
RF- Giancarlo Stanton
UTIL- Billy Butler, Edwin Encarnacion, Dexter Fowler
Bench- Will Middlebrooks, Evan Gattis, Anthony Rizzo, Josh Rutledge

There are some really good players on free agency right now and here are some of the best i have been thinking about picking up..

Everth Cabrera - have considered dropping rutledge for him for his steals, but how long will his batting average stay up?
Mark Reynolds - would pick him up for either gattis, middlebrooks or rutledge but i already have four 1B and that BA cant stay up forever, right?
Starling Marte
Shelby Miller
Tony Cingrani
Jean Segura
Lorenzo Cain

Middlebrooks, Gattis, Rutledge are the 3 guys I have considered dropping for either Cabrera, Reynolds or Shelby Miller. Should I keep either one of these guys or should i scoop up someone of the waiver wire?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks!

Drop Middlebrooks and pick up Marte.
You could also drop Rutledge and pick up Shelby Miller - he's a good pitcher with solid upside there.

Keep Gattis hes doing well I see no reason to drop him but i feel like Marte and Miller are must haves.

Definitely pick up Marte as he's really been getting on base. I would drop Rutledge for him. I'm honestly not sure about Mark Reynolds yet, he's really hot in Cleveland but he's such a streaky hitter that it's hard to say if/when he'll come back to earth and start striking out 3 out of every 4 ABs a game.

Help me with mine, thanks: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=459136

Drop Rutledge or Middlebrooks for Reynolds. But you're right, don't really need the 1B. But having value on your team never hurts.

Someone who was hot and cooled off, for someone who is still hot. The only thing is it would have been nice to do it a few days ago.

Tony Cingrani looked great in his last start, not sure who are your starting pitchers or league settings but i would drop middlebrooks.
