What to do with a team without a Manager?

Postby twinkypoop » Fri Apr 19, 2013 5:12 pm

I commish a very active 12 team Roto league in the 5th year.

After the draft, one of the managers dropped off & became inactive since 4/1. I gave him 2 weeks, then I reached out a few days ago to see if he was still going to play, and he responded back that he no longer had the time to remain active in the league, and to move on to find someone to replace him. In the meantime, his team is dead last, and now in need of a new manager.

I will try to recruit a new manager, and buy in is not an issue as this is a free league, but if we are unable to find someone to take on a last to first project, what are the options?

Do you:
Lock the team with the best players at the present date on the active roster?
Put all the players on the bench & lock it??
Release all of the players into the Free Agent pool?

I figured that in a Roto league, it's not as critical to have an even number of teams in the league, but I do not want to maintain this team on my end, nor do I like the idea of releasing all of the players into the Free Agent pool.

Any input would be much appreciated.

I would try and find someone to take over the team. It's still very early in the season and shouldn't have a problem finding someone to take over.

I would take the team.

Find an owner, if you can't then put the best lineup possible with the current players on the roster AND LOCK THE TEAM.
