Bailey or Hanrahan?

Has Bailey done enough to lock up the CL spot even when Hanrahan comes back?

He has this time with Hanarahn on the DL to lay ground work to claim the Job. He also has his all-star season from OAK when he was the closer there behind him. And last season BOS traded for bailey to be their closer until he became injured. So he has the resume and means to hold the job. It's tough to say though, I personally hope bailey goes back to the set up role. He's on my roster for HLDs.

Unless Bailey completely blows up the job is his . He has made his case two games in a row on back to back nights. Hanrahan probably will end up getting traded if he ever comes back from the DL.

And why would they give Crawford 180 million or what ever it was then trade him? Its baseball. Nobody is safe. The Red Sox gave up Reddick to get Bailey. In my opinion they picked up Hanrahan as a back up plan for Bailey. Sure its possible they don't trade JH but with teams needing late inning guys chances are good they get more for him then they traded away which wasn't all that much.
Hanrahan started going south last year. Call the injury the problem if you want but he continued that same path this year. His ALL Star year he gave up 1 hr . Last year he gave up 8. So far in limited action he has given up 2. He's done as the Red Sox closer. Case closed. pardon the pun.
