At least it was only driving while 3 times over the legal limit, and not something dangerous like smoking a joint or popping an adderall. The children are safe.

I live in NY and I'm not really sure on the law here, but I'm pretty sure that would be considered an "aggravated DUI" which I' think would result in a 1 year suspension of your license, possible jail time, and other things..would definitely require a lawyer. My buddy got one and it was hell for him..he paid a ton of money in lawyer fees and fines, had to do community service as well.

I've lived quite a few places and WI is a pretty good place to live outside of the winters. The only place I wouldn't want to wish on my worst enemy is anywhere on the east coast.

And also anywhere in Australia that isn't coastal

I've never lived out of country so cannot comment on that. If you visit the east coast and you aren't from the east coast you tend to think the people are less than kind, I will just put in that way. Most of my least pleasant experiences with travel has been on the east coast dealing with the obnoxious people.

Based on my conversations with Aussies I'm surprised that AD would consider anything but the east coast of Australia as decent. There is pretty much nothing in the middle of Australia. It's not a desert like the Southwest US but a real desert. And those western Australians are a little weird (the ones that I have met at least).

Back on topic Gallardo had a designated drive and a bodyguard with him and blew them both off to drive home himself. That shows a really bad decision making process.

Definitely a terrible decision. That said though, what were the bodyguard and DD doing? Their job is to make sure Gallardo doesn't do that. They shouldn't have allowed themselves to be blown off.

They're employees, not babysitters.

The bodyguard, sure, but what about the DD? If I'm DDing on a night when I'm out with my friends, I'm not letting them drive drunk. It has nothing to do with being employed. As a DD, that's your role for the night.
