currently on the DL with the A's.

what happens once he comes back? last I read before the season he was expected to be the A's starting SS.

I noticed this write up from rotoworld.
Hiroyuki Nakajima (hamstring) still needs to show he can run the bases before he's cleared to begin a rehab assignment.
"If he runs the bases this weekend, then maybe we're closer with him as well," Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Monday. "You have good days and bad days, and there are days he hasn't felt great." Nakajima will be used in a backup role once he's healthy.

I swear I hate rotoworld sometimes and their OPINIONS. not facts, opinions, and it really sucks that they are used on the write up for yahoo.
now maybe Nakajima isn't given the starting SS once returning, but I can't imagine he can't be better than the other competition.
who would be competition for Nakajima? Lowrie is currently at SS, with Eric Sogord at 2B. Scott Sizemore is out for the season, and Jemile Weeks is in the minors. Lowrie could move to 2B if/when they decide to go with Nakajima at SS.

They were talking about sending him to the minors after spring. He played himself out of a starting job.

Sogard will continue to get playing time until he fails. He's doing well and the A's are in no rush to hand the job to Nakajima. And Lowrie is one of the hottest hitters in baseball right now he's not going anywhere anytime soon. It helps that the A's have been beating up on the Astros early, things could change at some point but I'm not holding my breath for Hiro.

when (not if) Lowrie gets injured, then Naka will get an opportunity. it's just a matter of time with Lowrie.

If you already know this as fact, not OPINION, fact (like your friends at Rotoworld?) then Im not sure why you even bothered to start the thread

my facts and/or opinions are not used for all of yahoo fantasy baseball to see.
it sucks when some casual player in yahoo can click on the player info to see a write up and use that to make decisions/judgements. rotoworld also didn't like Doug Fister coming into this season.

Perfect answer. They don't have a crystal ball. Many are like the weather person. they get it wrong half the time and still keep their job.
