Is Ryan Madson going to close games after coming off DL??

We all know when teams pay millions of dollars to a closer they always pitch the 9th, unless your Broxton. Any ideas?

No, unless they're desperate they'll allow Madson to get his game figured out for at least a week or so. Then, maybe, he gets the job back. It may not even be the entire job, though, if Frieri is pitching okay. Coming back from that surgery won't likely get Madson rushed back to full-time status in the short term, so one would have to be patient.

He probably shouldn't, but everything I've read suggests he will.

Just saw this.

Ryan Madson (elbow) said he felt so good after today's bullpen session his goal is being active on May 1.
