I saw a neat stat today. Since 2010 the Brewers have like 63 SB against the Pirates and the next highest team had under 30. They run rampant against the Pirates so make sure you put them in against Pit!

It was a fun start to my H2H matchup with Aoki/Segura in last night, 5 SB in the first two hours of the matchup. The other nine teams in my league combined for four total yesterday.

My totals for each week have been: 4-4-6-3-7-7. so 5 was a big deal for one day. Thanks Jean!

7th HR tonight. Wow. I think the power will absolutely nosedive, but AVG/R/SB will continue to be a plus.

I don't think he is a 25+ HR guy like the pace suggests but he has been driving balls hard all season including to the opposite field. He is at least a low teen HR guy, not a putrid 5 HR type. I buy his power more than say Dexter Fowler or Yuni B or De Aza or Crisp or either Crawford or Marte.

Nice article on fangraphs about Segura. Summary: they think he's been a little lucky with some of his HRs and BABIP, but the drop off won't be huge. They're predicting something like 15ish HRs and 35-40 SBs for the season.

The comments on the article are interesting. I'm pretty intrigued that he's hitting HRs to the opposite field. Even though they note that several of his HRs are rated as 'just enough' (and predict will turn into more doubles and triples), these are still hit pretty damn far (i.e., to center, not dinking over at the edges). I'm expecting something like 15 HRs and 40 SB with a .300 average. That'd put him right near the top of SS for the season.

I'm just thrilled I drafted him in the 22nd round. Can keep him for a 20th round pick in 2014, 18th in 2015, etc. :-D

Picked him up as a FA in a deep keeper league last year based off his buzz as a decent Angels prospect and then Brewers, ive been shocked. I think he will have a cooling off adjustment but still ends up very valuable.

If you have someone in your league willing to (over)pay prices for his performance now, I would consider taking it but you cant be harmed by holding as well.

6 for 7 yesterday and now batting .365 on the season, he's obviously the real deal.

30 - 8 - 22 - 14 - .365 - .969

I think he'll make it to just under 20 HR and over 30 SB. His BA should be well over .300 even if he cools from here.

Careful there. He's obviously having a great start to the year...but that's the only thing I'm certain of.

One third of the way through and here is where Segura ranks in basic 5x5.

Runs: 3rd (Andrus & Tulo in front)
HR's: 3rd (Tulo & Hardy)
RBI: tied 4th
SB: 2nd (Everth Cabrera)
BA: 1st

Yahoo! has him as the best SS just ahead of Tulo by 2 spots

Keep riding the wave and hopefully whatever happens with Braun does not effect Jean too much
