help please

hi, i'm dan. i'm in a keeper league that has holds as one of the pitching stats. can anyone give me advice on someone i may be able to pick up as a free agent to help me in this category. thanks

What I usually do is bring up the available RP screen and then sort by "HOLDS". (to sort, click on the column title "Holds").

At least you'll see who has been getting hold chances.

Without know who is actually available, that's the best I can do.

Another good idea and its on this site is go to baseball leftovers and go to the closers thread. You arent looking for closers but there is generally alot of good relief pitcher talk in that thread. Alot about who is next in line behind a certain closer in that thread. Good stuff.

If i filter holds like on yahoo, make sure you look at IP also. How much a certain RP can pitch varies widely. Some guys can pitch whenever needed, others need more days off. I like hold guys on good teams also.
