Ben Revere/Denard Span/Chris Young [WHIR]

12-team league, H2H Points, Keeper League (players are under contract for 3 years, after the 3rd year salaries go up $10 each year)
$225 buy in. Roster allows for 3 minor league slots.

Keepers: Keep as many as you want under $90 (we're in the first year)

Tonight we put in our waivers to claim a player. During the week someone dropped Ben Revere, whom I like very much and I think has great keeper potential. Who do I drop, Chris Young or Denard Span? or do I stay put with those two.

*Dropping a pitcher is pretty much out of the question as I need get 12 starts a week to have a chance at winning.

Heres my roster and their salaries:

C Napoli, Mike - $9
1B Hosmer, Eric - $12
2B Murphy, Daniel - $1
3B Beltre, Adrian - $23
SS Escobar, Alcides - $2
MI Hardy, J.J. - $4
CI Berkman, Lance - $2
OF Bautista, Jose - $21
OF Braun, Ryan - $37
OF Beltran, Carlos - $9
OF Bourn, Michael - $14
U Werth, Jayson - $3
BN Denard Span - $1 (Free Agency)
BN Young, Chris - $5
BN Castellanos, Nick - $4 (Minors)
BN Rendon, Anthony - $1 (Minors)
BN Headley, Chase - $11 DL

SP Bumgarner, Madison - $22
SP Medlen, Kris - $20
SP Floyd, Gavin - $2
SP Hellickson, Jeremy - $7
SP McDonald, James - $3
RP Axford, John - $5
RP Cishek, Steve - $5
(SP) John Lackey - $1 (Free Agency)
(SP) Jackson, Edwin - $7
(SP) Worley, Vance - $4

I would definitely grab Revere for either of those guys. I would cut young and hold onto Span.

I would definitely drop one of them for Revere no question. Span & Young are both around the same age but Young still has that 20hr/20sb potential. Span is already what he is. He won't kill you in average like Young will but he won't put up a double digit HR total. Based on the fact that Span's best season ever was 8hr/68rbi I would go with Young. You have to trust Billy Beane on this one.

Thanks for the response on mine but my roster is in my signature if you wanted to take another look:

Why not snag Ben Revere, either can go. If you need money I'd cut Young for Revere, but if you want upside I'd take Revere for Span I guess. Though I'd lean toward jettisoning Young here and saving the four bucks.

I don't think that it is out of the question to see Revere put up numbers comparable to what Span is going to do. Drop Span and take Revere.
