The waivers open up for the first time tonight. Why drop someone before picking someone up? Another question would be why is Santana on your roster even if you were in a keeper league? The 2 for 1 answer is generic. In reality it's Trout & a waiver 1B such as Moreland or Smoak. The question wasn't Stanton & Butler or Trout & a permanent empty spot with zero stats for the rest of the season.

My answer was a response to yours. I wasn't trying to be nasty in my response at all. If you interpret it that way you are basically admitting that your original post was sarcastic & unnecessary since my response fed off of your post.

P.S. Member since 2007 & this is the only time a member had a problem with something I said. Just saying.

Hello fellow Mets fan.

I would stay put with this one. While I'm not saying that Trout's season was a fluke (pun intended), I don't think that he's going to put up the same type of numbers. I see regression in SB's as they may try to protect his health. As for Stanton, I think the guy could can hit 60 homers and we definitely haven't seen full potential. It would be nice to know your entire roster to see if you actually need Uggla and Hunter so I'm going to look at this like its Stanton and Butler for Trout. In this case, I do not make this trade.

Help with mine?

Philly_05 wrote:What was sarcastic about my post? Unless you think Santana will be a CY Young contender again then by all means... In case you are worried sarcasm. You must be related to Sheldon or something ;-7.

You get a generic response off a generic first post with little to no information about what's going on with the rules or your roster. Waiting on my 100% whir.

Who said that Santana will ever be a CY Young contender again? Was that just sarcasm? I already reiterated that you looked at the part of the trade that meant nothing (Santana). Santana is as good as cut but since we can't make moves until this weekend he is on my bench waiting to get the ax. He's nothing more than a throw in since the trade has to follow the rules of being an even amount of players.

What rules would you like to know? It's roto. That's really all you need to know.

Is my roster not showing up in my signature or something? If you want to see my whole team roster try looking down about an inch after every one of my posts.

I am thankful for people who respond to posts in agreement or even with constructive criticism but your response was neither. It was just a waste of your time & mine.

This is basically Stanton/Butler for Trout/Estrada. The rest are throwaways (or, at least not relevant to the deal).

I think Butler tends to be underrated and Stanton tends to be overrated. Stanton is hitting in a AAA lineup. No way he puts up numbers like people think he will. I like Butler a lot, but I would take the Trout/Estrada side. Then I would drop the filler.

The whole point of making this trade would be to pull in Trout. And since it's not a keeper league, the shine of getting Trout wears off a bit. Considering it has to be THIS YEAR ONLY, I think I'd rather have Stanton/Butler.

I would rather just drop Santana since his career is over, and pick up someone who has the same exact potential as an Estrada.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)
