What is the going rate for Pujols? WHIR

Postby KELLYLEAK » Sat Apr 06, 2013 11:49 am

I'm in a 12 team, head to head, redraft league 8X8. Looking to get Pujols- not sure what it will take. I'm relatively new to fantasy baseball what is a fair offer without overpaying?
I was thinking of offering (Ike Davis or Howard, and Latos) or (Ike Davis or Howard, Garcia, and a RP)

Just a thought about Jim Henderson for Omar Infante (gives you a solid utility bat since rosters are so deep and your not really paying much at all). You don't really need Pujols...

I'll think about Infante. I'm high on Pujols if he can stay healthy. I'd like more rbi's and runs. Are my offers in the ballpark or am i way off?

As a Pujols owner I would say you're offers are not nearly enough. If you really want Albert, you need to give up first round talent. I don't see how you can land Albert without giving up Bautista or Stanton. Thanks for helping with mine.

Yeh, if I owned Pujols I'd be insulted by those offers

Yeah, those offers won't land him. And whatever you thought the going rate was, it just went up!

good luck

Not nearly enough.

Looking at your roster, I would argue that Morales is expendable. If you are looking at upgrades, he is the place to go.

I dont think you even need Pujols. Sure its nice to have him on your team but he would be way too expensive for no reason. I personally believe Howard is going to have a nice year anyway. Hard to say this considering Im a Mets fan so thats not a bias statement at all i dont know what other readers are going to think of Howard. Anyway, my point is just stick it out with Howard theres no need to go all in for Albert Pujols, especially this early in the season. Who knows if he's even healthy?

Okay thanks for the feedback- that's why i asked. I went to CBS Sports fantasy baseball and looked at recent transactions- so i guess that's not a good barometer. The hr today didn't help, but it sounds like i wasn't even close.

Note i haven't made an offer yet i just asked him who he wants for him. I don't need Pujols, but it would have been nice to have him in the lineup. Maybe if Myers gets called up and does well I can revisit it. It sounds like from the consensus here I'd have to include Stanton or Bautista to have any shot, but that i should just hang tight.
